Cartwheels for Kids, Inc.

Cartwheels for Kids is a new business providing a playful, participatory environment for young children in Rensselaer County, NY. Launching in the Fall of 2004, Cartwheels for Kids needed a fun, cheerful image and message for both online and offline marketing. Although an extremely accomplished business woman, the owner understood the need for having a professional designer involved in the beginning.

The client identified and licensed a really sweet illustration for the logo, so Business Design Studio simply put the logo together with the title and tag line. We worked with the client to organize the content and create an information architecture for the site. Then we created a home page and sub page design with navigation and styles.

After setting up the initial design and content, the client moved the site to Lotus Notes to manage the content and forms herself.

After the site was completed, we designed a tri-fold brochure with a very similar look and content, to distribute offline to prospective parents and child care operators.
