Gallery: Digital Photo Art and Editing

Here are some examples of digital photo art that I've created using Photoshop, for clients and people who want to provide a really unique gift to a loved one. This is an example of a photo collage when used for a web site home page.

This is another example of computer art that I created for a web site mockup. A different mock up was selected for the final web site.

Photo computer art is also a popular gift idea.

In this project, I was asked to take this original photo of the man in his Scottish kilt, and provide a photo of a castle which I could put him into. We chose this photo, and I edited both, removing the man from the original photo and placing it in the castle photo, at the right size and proportion and adding a shadow to make it more realistic. I also did work on the original castle photo, making it more bright and sharp, and adding a more interesting sky atmosphere.

I wanted to take this picture of a swimmer in the ocean, and blend it with the unusual stormy picture above right, to create a fantasy image. Although its too complicated to explain how I did it exactly, you can compare the two originals to see some of the changes I made, such as eye color, mirroring the stormy sky onto the ocean, and removing the blue shadow in front of the swimmer. This is the final picture:

Some times digital photo art is used for marketing purposes, because the desired photo doesn't exist - and I can make it happen, like in this example:

You want a better looking breakfast plate with three eggs sunny side up - instead of one over easy... and get rid of that fork!? Coming up!


First, I color corrected the breakfast plate. Then, removed the fork. I took the eggs out of their background in the second picture, and rotated them to better match the perspective and light source of the breakfast. Added the eggs to the plate like they belonged there, by layering them and creating a shadow in a few places to give dimension.
