Case Study: Logo Design and Corporate Identity

We were hired in the late 90's by Penchina Web Design to do a complete redesign of a large-scale web site for Remsoft, a fire and forest management software company in Canada. During the course of the work, it was decided that the fire family of software should also have a new logo.

STRATEGY: We created 10-12 thumbnail drawings before the team of decision makers were all on board - something which is not at all uncommon in the world of logo development (and why it often costs more than folks expect.) We created a logo which implements the idea of fire, forest, and weather science into one memorable image. The logo was then colored and worked into the previously determined theme of the site.
